Sixteen-year-old Kiyana loves rap. Several years ago, Kiyana discovered she had unexpected fulminant liver failure, a very rapid illness. This unfortunate malady left her body weak and in need of a liver transplant, which she received. So far, she has had a successful recovery. Kiyana’s wish was for a shopping spree, because she had never been shopping, or had the opportunity to spend a day just spoiling herself.  She was escorted in a limo to the mall, where she spent the whole day treating herself to the kinds of things teenage girls dream of. Kiyana claimed that she was the most thrilled about being able to purchase a pair of heels which she was gorgeous in! When a child is faced with an illness, it is encouraging to know that we can provide them with the moments that fill them with hope and remind them of the joy in life. Kiyana and her family are so grateful for those volunteers and supporters who could return her beautiful smile and provide her the memories of a lifetime.
