Internships
Internships are designed for current undergraduate students during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters of each year. Please review the requirements and qualifications for available opportunities.
All available internship opportunities are unpaid. School credit can be provided.

Volunteer Services Internship (1 opening)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Volunteer Manager in all aspects of the Volunteer Program, including, but not limited to: recruiting, training and managing volunteers, wish-granting, public speaking, special events, database entry, solicitation and administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate student, in good academic standing, currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Family and Child Development, Human Development, Business or related field.

Must have a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer experience working with acute or terminally ill children and their families.
-
Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written).
-
Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-orientated and organized.
-
Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus.

Professional and responsible demeanor.
-
Bi-lingual preferred but not required.

Some weekends may be required for specific events.

General knowledge of Make-A-Wish® Georgia.
Finance Internship (1 opening)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Vice President of Finance with daily duties which may include, but are not limited to: internal reporting, forecasting and analysis of ongoing budget trends, data input related to accounts payable and receivables, data base entry and administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate student, in good academic standing, currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written).

Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-orientated and organized.

Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus.

Development Internships (3 openings)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Development team with the planning, development and execution of Make-A-Wish special events and grant writing.
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate student, in good academic standing, currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Marketing fields preferred.
Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written).

Marketing/Communications Internship (1 opening)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Marketing/Communications team with the development and execution of Make-A-Wish internal and external communications, marketing and collateral materials and advertising/publicity campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate student, in good academic standing, currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Marketing fields preferred.

Program Services Internship (2 openings)
Responsibilities:
To assist the Program Services team in all aspects of mission delivery, including, but not limited to: managing wish files, fielding referral calls, liaising with medical professionals, families and volunteers, database entry and administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate student, in good academic standing, currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development, Human Development, Hospitality, Public Relations, Business or related field.
