Bright and bubbly Belle enjoys time spent reading “Junie B. Jones” books, playing the piano, listening to One Direction and watching “Duck Dynasty.” Furthermore, like the average eight-year-old, Belle loves all things Disney®, especially the show, “Sofia the First.” Unfortunately, Belle suffers from end stage renal disease—a progressive loss of kidney functioning that inevitably causes the need for a transplant. Upon receiving the opportunity to get her most heartfelt wish granted by Make-A-Wish® Georgia, Belle knew exactly what she wanted: to go to Disney World®! As a volunteer noted, “Belle was very confident in her wish choice. She’d been asking Mom to go to Disney for forever!” Belle wished to visit Disney in order to meet princesses, visit Cinderella’s castle and fly on an airplane!
Along with her parents and two older brothers, Belle set off for Orlando, Florida. There, she stayed at the Give Kids the World Village® , an exclusive resort just for wish kids. She enjoyed the inclusive benefits of park passes to all four Disney parks, as well as to Universal Studios® and SeaWorld®! Most of all, however, Belle looked forward to her special encounter with her favorite princess - Princess Belle, of course! During the highlight of the trip, little Belle got to meet Princess Belle at a “Beauty and the Beast Meet & Greet!” Belle and her family had the trip of a lifetime, escaping to a week of pure sunshine, fun and freedom!
