Digital Marketing Manager
What did you do before working at Make-A-Wish Georgia?
After graduating from Samford University, I moved to the Dominican Republic to serve alongside a nonprofit that provided vulnerable girls with the chance to dream again. A year later, I returned to the states and took a job at an advertising agency here in Atlanta, where I worked in media for a year and half. The media world is a glamorous one, and I definitely added a variety of skills to my wheelhouse. But eventually my heart got the best of me—I had to honor my core value of making a difference in the lives of others. So I guess before joining Make-A-Wish Georgia, I was day-dreaming about a role like this one.
What's your favorite part of the job?
The purpose & the people. I also love the driving force behind why we do what we do: a wish transforms a life. We aren’t curing illnesses here, but we are healing hearts. Witnessing the triumphs of little heroes, shining light in the darkness of diagnoses, creating magic in moments… our opportunity is a beautiful one.
What would your wish be?
To travel to the Dominican Republic with my friends and family, climb Pico Duarte, watch the sunset and share Sancocho under the stars together.
