On Friday, April 29, Toys“R”Us® and Make-A-Wish®
Georgia will celebrate World Wish Day®
, an annual celebration of the foundation’s founding and the more than 270,000 wishes granted since 1980, at Toys“R”Us Smyrna.
As the destination to make birthday wishes come true, Toys“R”Us will host special parties, celebrating Make-A-Wish’s “birthday,” plus the birthdays of wish kids in select stores across the country on World Wish Day. Wish Kids will enjoy the ultimate birthday celebration, complete with treats, themed activities, a Geoffrey’s Birthday Club package and a $250 Toys“R”Us gift card. To make the day even more memorable, Toys“R”Us and Make-A-Wish will reveal that the birthday child’s ultimate wish is being granted.
Atlanta-residents, Hope and Faith are celebrating their ninth birthday around World Wish Day, at which time they’ll find out that their wishes are coming true! Faith wished for a treehouse, while Hope wished to go on an Alaskan cruise.
Hope and Faith, who both have a rare genetic disorder, will arrive by limo, and will be greeted by dozens of family, friends and Toys“R”Us team members, before experiencing a party that includes painting and decorating cupcakes. Hope, Faith and Make-A-Wish Georgia will celebrate an #AwesomeBirthday together at the greatest birthday destination around.
In addition, on Friday, April 29, Toys“R”Us will host a one-day only social media fundraising initiative benefitting Make-A-Wish, during which the company will donate $1 to the organization (up to $25,000) for every retweet of a special #AwesomeBirthday @ToysRUs tweet.
