Wish-granting volunteers are essential to the work that we do. They have the opportunity to meet with our wish kids to help them determine what their most heartfelt wish would be.
They also work with our wish coordinators on staff to plan wish reveals and the actual wish experience for the family! Wish-granting volunteers get to see our mission in action, and we appreciate them so much!
Gladimar has been volunteering with Make-A-Wish Georgia since July 2013 and is one of our most active bilingual wish-granting volunteers.
Some of the recent wishes that she's worked on include three trips to Disney World, two shopping sprees, one wish to go to Hawaii and one wish for a specialized wheelchair. She is currently working on two wishes that will be granted in the next few months, and is excited to help bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to these families.
Because of volunteers like Gladimar, we are able to reach our goal of impacting the lives of hundreds of children in our local community. We are always seeking new and bi-lingual volunteers throughout Georgia to help local children who are waiting for their most heartfelt wish to be granted.
