Claire meets the Disney Princesses

  • Her family was able, for the first time in a long time, to relax, focus on being a family, and enjoy every moment of each day.

  • Claire will never forget living out her wish of being a princess, embracing the magic within herself, and the special feeling all the princesses at the park gave her!

“ The best part of the trip was seeing her SO happy! ”

- Kimberly, Claire's mom

Shortly after Claire’s third birthday celebration, her exciting year ahead took an unexpected path. After a routine doctor’s visit, Claire was diagnosed with leukemia. The next two years were spent centered around doctor visits and treatments rather than playgrounds and princess dresses.

Even though Claire was young and faced great adversity, she persevered through each day with a smile. When wish granting volunteers met with Claire, it was undeniable that she wished to be a princess at Disney World.

PRINCESS TRANSFORMATION

What is the first stop for every princess at Disney World? Bibibidi Bobbidi Boutique of course! As soon as Claire walked into the boutique, her Fairy Godmother-in-Training pampered her with nail polish on her fingers to the sparkling tiara placed upon her head. Sparkling with glitter from head-to-toe, Claire was dressed in a stunning princess dress, perfectly styled hair, shiny shoes, and even a glistening wand to complete the look. For the rest of the day, Claire pranced around the park and was perfectly dressed for her lunch at Cinderella’s Castle. Claire loved dressing up as a princess so much that every morning of the trip she took the time to complete her princess look, dress and all, to be storybook ready for every adventure the day would bring!

WISH COME TRUE

Now that Claire’s princess transformation was complete, it was only natural for her to meet her favorite princess, Moana! She was so excited to meet Moana that it changed the energy of the entire room. When her parents saw the biggest smile they had ever seen, it brought tears to their eyes. Claire’s mom, Kimberly, said, “That one moment put everything into perspective.” In this moment, the pain of the last two years was forgotten, and they were enthralled with the magic and joy of the here and now.

Claire will never forget living out her wish of being a princess, embracing the magic within herself, and the special feeling all the princesses at the park gave her! Her family was able, for the first time in a long time, to relax, focus on being a family, and enjoy every moment of each day. The kindness and support from the staff and the constant smile on Claire’s face truly made this trip an experience they will never forget.
