In 2002, 14-year-old Courtney was granted her wish to meet her favorite musician, Shania Twain. She and her family got to travel to San Diego, California where Twain was having a concert. Courtney got to meet the singer at the San Diego Charger's stadium and spend time with her one-on-one.
Years later, Courtney is now a wish granting volunteer with Make-A-Wish Georgia in her hometown of Valdosta. Since starting to volunteer in 2009, Courtney has been a part of over 20 wishes for other local wish kids.
"After going through my battle with cancer, finishing my three years of chemo treatments, and having my wish granted, my life motto became “live life to the fullest!" said Courtney. "I would never wish cancer on anyone, but I’m so thankful to have survived and have another opportunity to live life to its fullest potential!"
